Plan for the deployment of logistics infrastructure connecting Ukraine and Romania was presented

Together with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Romania, Ionel Scrioșteanu, and the Executive Director of the Ukraine-Romania Regional Border Crossing Office, Căsar Grozavu, a new conceptual master plan for the deployment of a logistics network between Ukraine and Romania was presented. This information was received from the head of the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Mustafa Nayem.
The network development plan was jointly developed with Romanian partners and adopted by both countries on October 18, 2023. Mustafa Nayyem stressed that five key checkpoints (BCPs) were identified at the meeting, on which work is planned to be carried out. Among them is the Porubnoye-Siret BCP, one of the largest in Ukraine.
The parties also discussed plans for the development of border infrastructure, technological integration and its modernization. The plans also include the construction of new checkpoints "Bila Tserkva – Sighetu Marmatiej" and "Bila Krynitsa – Klimeuts". In addition, it is planned to increase the capacity of the "Dyakovo-Halmeu".
"Today, the export potential across the Romanian border is the second largest in Ukraine. The main goal of the development of a single logistics network is to increase this potential... Working together on the logistics network is a strengthening of the partnership with Romania. This is an important area for us, because the reconstruction and restoration of Ukraine depends on it. We are pleased to make joint efforts to increase the country's export and import capacity," said Mustafa Nayem
