Increase in tariffs for grain hopper
In June, the tariff for the use of grain carriers of the Transport Logistics Centre branch of Ukrzaliznytsya may increase.
According to Rail.insider, Valeriy Tkachev, deputy director of the department of transportation technology and commercial work, expressed this opinion during an online meeting with agricultural enterprises on 23 May.
"Today we are recording a significant increase in demand for our wagons (Ukrzaliznytsia's wagons. - Ed.). We already load on average about 250 wagons per day. Yesterday, for example, we loaded over 400 wagons. This is a record, I think, for the last two months. That is, we see a high demand for wagons", - said the representative of the company.
He noted that due to this trend, the tariff for the use of grain wagons may increase next month. In April and May, the cost of leasing grain carriers was UAH 1100 per day without VAT.
