Duty-free trade between the UK and Ukraine will remain in force until 2029

The UK government's website reports that the agreement on the elimination of duties and tariff quotas in trade between the UK and Ukraine will be extended until 2029.
The agreement provides for the possibility of extending duty-free trade for five years for all goods, except for eggs and poultry, which will be extended for only two years until 2026.
The UK was the first country to eliminate duties on all trade with Ukraine. In May 2022, the UK eliminated all duties under the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries until March 2024. This example has become a model for similar initiatives by the European Union and other trading partners.
UK Trade Secretary Greg Hands will officially sign the agreement to extend liberalization measures together with Ukraine's First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Yulia Svyrydenko at a virtual ceremony.
