Ukrzaliznytsia: Presentation of 18 new container routes

In September 2024, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to open 18 new container routes aimed at transporting goods from Ukraine to European countries.
"Multimodal business is our main focus. We are talking about the reconstruction and development of terminals throughout Ukraine. We are currently building a powerful network of container terminals. There will be new cross-European routes that will allow both European and Ukrainian customers to work efficiently," said Lyashchenko.
He explained that this will actually mean a single ticket with the same fare and a clear approach to determining speeds and prices.
Lyashchenko also noted that Ukrzaliznytsia has already introduced container trains that transport not only raw materials such as coal, grain, and ore, but also fast moving consumer goods with added value (known as FMCG).
