Scania Super has been awarded the "Green Truck 2024"

Scania has won the prestigious Green Truck of the Year award for the ninth time.
Every year, all heavy truck manufacturers in Europe take part in the Green Truck competition organized by the German magazines Trucker and VerkehrsRundschau. The initiative aims to identify the most fuel-efficient truck for long-distance transport. With the exception of second place in 2023, Scania has won seven of the last eight tests, making it the best in the Green Truck in nine of the fourteen years of the competition. This success is a testament to the company's impressive performance.
The formula used to determine the best truck in the test covers various aspects of transport efficiency and environmental friendliness, including fuel consumption, average speed, AdBlue use and truck weight. Looking at the results, Scania stands out with an average difference in fuel consumption of 0.41 litres over 100 km, which is more than enough to beat the second place. Given that a long-haul truck drives around 150,000 kilometres per year, this means that Scania consumes 600 litres less fuel annually than its competitors. In addition, the 7,040kg Scania truck was the lightest among the test participants and achieved the highest average speed of 79.70 km/h. Another significant advantage was the updated version of the CCAP (Cruise Control with Active Prediction) system introduced by Scania in May 2023.
The tests are carried out on various types of road, including motorways, in the Munich area. The organizers and manufacturers' representatives always closely monitor the process and conditions, including headwinds, rain and temperature conditions.
