Multimodal delivery schemes include sea transportation to Black Sea ports with subsequent road delivery to the final recipient.
We start with a detailed analysis of your needs: characteristics of the shipment, desired delivery times, special transportation conditions. At this stage, we determine the appropriate type of container: standard (20' or 40'), high (40' HC), refrigerated (for goods requiring temperature control) or specialized.
We are working on the logistics route: we select a port of departure in America, taking into account the location of the supplier, we determine the port of unloading, and we plan a ground delivery scheme. Based on the results of the analysis, we formulate a commercial proposal indicating the timing and cost of logistics services.
After confirming the order, we reserve a place on the vessel and the necessary equipment. Today, maritime transport to the USA is planned well in advance — 3-4 weeks before shipment.
At the same time, we are preparing a package of documents for customs clearance: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin. For certain categories of goods we issue special permits: FDA (for food and medical products), FCC (for electronics), DOT (for vehicles).
Our representatives in the USA control the delivery of the container, check its technical condition, and monitor the correct loading. For valuable or fragile goods, we organize professional packaging and securing.
After loading, we carry out a sealing inspection and photographic recording of the condition of the cargo. We issue a sea bill of lading (Bill of Lading) — main document confirming acceptance of goods for transportation.
Sea delivery of containers from the USA takes from 30 to 45 days, depending on the route and the selected shipping line. All this time we are tracking the location of the vessel and receiving updates about the predicted arrival date.
Upon the container’s arrival at the port of destination, we formalize its receipt, obtain permission for unloading, and organize customs clearance. Our brokers prepare the declaration, carry out electronic declaration, and ensure the payment of customs duties.
After customs clearance, we will organize delivery to the recipient’s warehouse by trucks — We provide road container transportation. We control the timely return of the empty container to the port to avoid demurrage fees.
Upon completion of transportation of goods from America to Ukraine, we provide a full report on the work performed, including actual deadlines, expenses incurred, difficulties encountered and ways to solve them. For regular customers, we provide transportation analytics and offer customization of logistics processes.
