Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia introduce truck traffic bans

Due to the May holidays, four countries: Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are introducing bans on lorry traffic. 
In Poland, the bans will be related to Labour Day and Constitution Day on 3 May. The ban will apply to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 12 tonnes. The exception will be Polish lorries returning to the country from international routes or trucks carrying perishable goods.
The schedule of restrictions:
- 30 April, ban from 18:00 to 22:00.
- 1 May, ban from 8:00 to 22:00.
- 2 May, ban from 18:00 to 22:00.
- 3 May, ban from 8:00 to 22:00.
Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are imposing a ban on trucks over 7.5 tonnes GVW next week, as follows:
- Germany: 1 May, ban from 00:00 to 22:00.
- Czech Republic: 1 May, ban from 13:00 to 22:00.
- Slovakia: 1 May, ban from 00.00 to 22.00.
