For the first time in two years, Ukrainian port accepts MAERSK vessel

On 3 April, a vessel of the world's second largest container shipping company, Maersk, arrived at the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk after a stopover in the Romanian port of Constanta. Experts recall that this is the first cargo that Maersk has delivered to Ukraine in more than two years since the start of the full-scale war with Russia.
On the same day, after completing all the necessary operations in the Ukrainian port, the Maersk ship sailed back to Constance. These voyages became possible thanks to Ukraine's creation of a "safe corridor" after Russia refused to participate in the so-called grain corridor, where the aggressor country had significant control over cargo and could negatively affect traffic.
Earlier, Yuriy Vaskov, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, said that all five container terminals in Odesa region are ready to receive containers. According to him, operations will be resumed in stages.
