New border crossing points to be built in western Ukraine

Ukraine plans to open several new border crossing points on its borders with Hungary, Moldova, Romania and Poland in 2024. This information was provided by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
"I hope that we will soon open an additional new checkpoint with Hungary, and reformat the existing one, Luzhanka, to allow empty trucks to pass through, thereby increasing its capacity," the minister explained.
According to his statement, it is also planned to open a joint additional checkpoint with Moldova at the end of March, which was recently closed for repairs.
"We also expect to open a new checkpoint with Romania this year. With Poland, too, by the way. We will complete the project, which we started to build several years ago, this year," assured the head of the Ministry of Reconstruction.
