Scanners for cargo inspection will be installed at railway checkpoints

Scanners for cargo inspection will be installed at railway checkpoints at Volyn and Lviv customs. Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said this at a government meeting on 30 April. These scanners will help to speed up the inspection of goods and improve the process of railway transportations.
The Government has decided to allocate funds from the state budget for the purchase of scanners for railway checkpoints, exceeding 662 million hryvnias. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers authorised the State Emergency Situations Service (SES) to provide paid conformity assessment services in the field of civil protection.
"This will intensify the certification of mine action operators. There are about 35 of them now. We expect there will be many more. We are forming a market environment in the field of humanitarian demining. We involve the private sector as much as possible to clear Ukraine of mine debris as soon as possible," Denys Shmygal emphasised.
